Japan Victor Corporation announced the carsteroke contest, currently happening now.  They're looking for people to submit videos of themselves singing in thier car.  Grand prize is a trip to LA and some free car stereo gear.  If you're interested in entering the contest, go here.

I wonder if JVC is aware of the recent "Hands Free" law that was just passed in California?  I can just imagine idiots driving down the road with thier cell phone camera pointed at themselves, screaming out some G&R.

So I always like to touch on mic technique. Yesterday I was down early, Josef G showed up and we started watching youtube videos of Steve Perry (man I'm on a Journey kick this week aren't I?)

So all week I eagerly waited in anticipation of last night or tonight (Between 11pm and 2am days kind of blur)  Much to Mrs. T's dismay, I left the house extra special early at 3pm yesterday to prepare for the nights festivities.

So in keeping with all things Japanese pop culture, I started thinking about Japanese vending machines.

In Japan the streets are lined with vending machines, where you can buy ANYTHING.  Even beer. 

I filled in for Toqer today. He went on a long overdue family vacation. I've been going to the Boo for a few years now and have lived over Toq's shoulder on more than a few nights. "Can you switch my song Toq?" "How long until I'm up Toq?" That's the easy stuff. I've watched as Toq swapped a song here, moved a song there, added singers, dropped singers, played custom discs, drug out some laser disc songs, you name it, Toq did it with his eyes closed.

So sometimes I have insane ramblings like a travelling wanderer.

It's a little cooler now.  Wife came home with 3 bags of ice, washed out a nice big cup for me and filled it.  I'm sipping on Coca Cola, scribbling out the ponderings of my future. I find when my mind isn't suffering the internal conflict of "I've only had 4 hours of sleep" and "It's too hot to sleep" it's a little bit easier to jot a few things down.

So Saturday I'm going up to Guerneville, CA with the wife, baby and dog.  She's been saving for this trip for a while, and it's going to be good to get away for a couple days.
